Just read Article about Winner of Intercontinental Cup playing bottom ranked Test Team in play off .
Wow play off ..which Full Member has won their first ever Test Match (Except Australia) ..And Play off should be based on Intercontinental Cup 2013 Champions. And they should play for atleast 2years Home and Away with bottom ranked 2 teams in 2 Test Match Series . Then Think of granting them of Status or not.
One play off is not fair .
Make Intercontinental cup of 4years in Home and away basis and add winner every 4 years for 2years playing with bottom 2 full members in Home and Away test series.
Even if Bangladesh in 2000 would have played Zimbabwe (that time bottom ranked team) they would have lost by inngs only . So play off don't make sense.

a euro cup odi tournament, like the asia cup is a better idea with a quadrangular series between england, ireland, scotland & netherlands every 2 years. ireland & scotland would love to host this tournament and england can find out a 8 day gap once in 2 years

@vikrant, thats a great idea but it would have to be held without the England & Wales team as they are far too important to play competitions with minnows like the rest of the European nations. They will only play the likes of Ireland and Scotland once each every 2 years as they have far too busy a schedule.

Well why don't European Cricket council start some thing like T20 6 Nations like Rugby
With England,Ireland,Scotland,Netherlands,Denmark,Wales(if fielded separately) or Italy .
They can have it every 2 years with 10day Tournament in Summer .

So it's official that Ireland,Afghanistan,Scotland,UAE,Hong Kong,PNG are teams with ODI status now.
So what will be next Intercontinental cup of with Kenya and Namibia as 8 teams .
So No Netherlands or Canada .
Sad to see Netherlands loosing out on ODI status..Team which was 3rd in WCL just before last two games with Ireland lost world cup place .
ICC should increase 10-Teams in intercontinental cup Include Netherlands and Canada .
If ICC Div 2 Test comes to life then Ireland Afghanistan may be elevated to Div 2.

Well done on Scotlands win today and a chance to embarrass England at next years World Cup.However, apart from 1 ODI v England in May it looks so far that that will be Scotlands ONLY match in the next year! Let's hope that with funding secured, they can arrange a few more fixtures in the meantime.
