The final match in the Dubai Triangular Series between Scotland and Ireland was abandoned without a ball being bowled.
Heavy rain prevented the match from starting on time in Dubai at the ICC Cricket Academy.
However the rain did relent for the toss to take place which was won by Ireland who elected to field.
The Scotland team was the same as the one that had comprehensively defeated Afghanistan but before the players could take the field rain once again fell resulting in the twenty over match being abandoned without a ball being bowled.
This result enabled Ireland to clinch the series.
Scotland will now look forward to the ICC World Cup which gets underway next month and to their first warm up match which is against Ireland at Blacktown Oval in Sydney on 10 February.
