Julie Logue has been around the block when it comes to ladies' cricket and the former Irish International was in great form for new club Strabane Saints as they beat holders Bready in Friday night's cup final at Fox Lodge.

Played in front of a big crowd the holders batted first and made 103 for 2 with Jemma Rankin making 38 and Emma Dougherty 35. Denise McDonald (2-16) picked up both wickets to fall, one of them a superb stumping by Logue.

Bready will have known that they needed to get the Burndennett-based player early but it wasn't to be as she steered the Saints to a comfortable win. Logue's 45 not out deservedly won her the player-of-the-match award although Hazel Magee (23) and Angie Porter (20) also batted really well.
