As well as the ongoing series between Pakistan and England, November will see plenty of action for associates in the UAE, with the hosts, Nepal, Oman, Hong Kong, Afghanistan and Papua New Guinea all playing matches across all three formats of the game. Nepal, Hong Kong and the UAE will also get matches against Pakistan and England.

Whilst those matches against full members are welcome news, it is disappointing that none of the matches will be given full international status, despite the ODI/T20I status possessed by Hong Kong and the UAE. For England the reason is - quite remarkably - that they are unwilling to pay their players the extra match fee required if the matches are full ODIs or T20Is. The reason for Pakistan not making their game against Hong Kong a T20I is unknown, but is likely to be similar.

It remains to be seen whether the games will at least be standard 11 a side matches, or the whole squad plays matches full members - especially England - seem to be fond of for tour games these days.

As well as Intercontinental Cup and World Cricket League Championship games, a number of T20Is between the various associates will take place, as will a number of 50 overs and multi-day friendlies. Oman will play their first multi-day matches as part of the series of matches.

The WCLC matches between Nepal and Papua New Guinea are set to be live streamed on the ICC website, the first matches to be live streamed in this edition of the tournament.

The Asia Cup Twenty20 Qualifier, initially thought to be taking place during November, will now take place shortly before the tournament itself early next year in Bangladesh.
