Matthew Palmer will skipper Academy who have opted to have no overseas professional and have lost the highly rated New Zealand pair of Mitchell Atkins and Andre Halbert.

The captain looked forward to the new season saying: "We are hoping to build on a very pleasing first year in Section One.

"We have no professional but are pleased that 18 year-old Stephen Sistern-Tate from Northern Districts, NZ has come over to develop his cricket.

"We look forward to further consolidating our place in a competitive league."
