There were two major shocks in the first round of the AJG Senior Challenge Cup as Downpatrick knocked out North Down, while Muckamore defeated last season's finalists Instonians.
Pieter Malan top scored with 85, and Nathan Burns' unbeaten 62 and 45 from Jacob Mulder took the Comber side to 240 for 6 - Amit Patil 3/33 the pick of the bowlers.
However, the North Down bowling once again proved severely lacking in penetration, and Patil's unbeaten century guided them to the win with four balls to spare.
He received excellent support from skipper Craig Boultwood who made 67.
It was another professional who guided Muckamore to their unlikely win as they sent Instonians crashing out at the first stage.
Avadhoot Dandekar followed up his Irish Senior Cup hundred last week with an unbeaten 96 to guide the Moylena side to a comfortable seven wicket win.
He shared a third wicket stand of 121 with Jamie Magowan - who made his Northern Knights debut during the week - as Muckamore eased to the win with 25 balls to spare.
The Instonians innings saw no fewer than 7 players reach double figures - but none were able to play a truly substantial knock - Andy White (34) and James Shannon (33) their two highest scorers.
A total of 197 looked very chaseable, and that's exactly what transpired.
