Lee Nelson has been dropped by the Northern Knights for their forthcoming Inter-Pro clash with Leinster Lightning at Stormont on Tuesday (11am).
Nelson is replaced in the 12-man squad by fellow Waringstown team-mate Gary Kidd.
James McCollum is the other change to the squad which played so well in the drawn match at Clontarf last week - he's back at Durham University.
His place is taken by Chris Dougherty who plays as a batsman only as he's still not fully recovered from a groin injury sustained in the pre-season win over Denmark.
Jamie Magowan of Muckamore proved an able deputy for Dougherty behind the stumps and keeps his place.
There are no professionals in the Knights squad, with NCU clubs understood to be reluctant to release them for fear of injuries. However on this occasion, the Knights selectors didn't even approach them, as they are content to compete with a home based panel.
You can follow CricketEurope's live coverage of the game from 10:30am on Tuesday.
