Holders Waringstown are one of four NCU sides through the last 8 of the Irish Senior Cup after they trounced Eglinton by 10 wickets.
Three wickets apiece from Phil Eaglestone, James Hall and Cobus Pienaar saw the NW side dismissed for just 124 despite a battling half-century from Ross Allen (52). James Hall then smashed 8 fours and 5 sixes in just 43 balls as he and James McCollum shared an opening stand of 129 balls in just 97 deliveries.
There will also be four Leinster sides in the quarter-final line-up.
John Anderson's recent prolific form continued as he scored yet another hundred - hitting 22 fours and 2 sixes in his 143 from 131 balls. That allowed his Merrion side to score 300/8 - that proved 104 too many for Carrickfergus despite 107 from professional Pat Botha.
Nic Pretorius top scored with 87 as Phoenix beat Cork County by 140 runs at The Mardyke. Reinhardt Strydom took 4 for 16, and Alessandro Morris 3-34 as the Munster side were dismissed for 102 chasing 243 for the win.
Half centuries from Jonathan Andrews, Adam Coughlan and Terry Richardson saw the competition's most successful side North County safely into the last 8. The five times winners posted 352 against Malahide who could only muster 90 in reply - Andrew Sheridan taking 5 for 13.
Two times winners The Hills bowed out to CIYMS who chased 193 to win by five wickets - half centuries for Justin Kemp and Nigel Jones.
Derriaghy skittled County Galway for just 79 to win by 8 wickets at Queensway, while YMCA won by the same margin at Ballymagorry against Fox Lodge.
The final game saw Instonians beat Pembroke by six wickets - skipper Nikolai Smith's 107 helping the Shaw's Bridge side chase 247 to win with 11 balls to spare.
In the National Cup, holders Rush rewrote the record books as they posted 569 for 5 at home to Dundrum - the highest total in Irish limited overs cricket. Stephen Doheny's 259 not out - 7th highest in Irish cricket - included
22 fours and 16 sixes. Lynal Jansen then took 6 for 15 as Dundrum were dismissed for 74. The margin of defeat - 495 run was not unsurprisingly another record.
The others team in the quarter-finals are Woodvale, Limerick, Newbuildings, Laois, Ballyspallen, Co. Kerry and Balbriggan.
Details of the quarter-final draws for both competitions will be confirmed by Cricket Ireland tomorrow.
