In the North West Ladies League this past Monday evening, Fox Lodge continue to look a very real title threat as the Foxies achieved another win against Killyclooney.
Killyclooney batted first and scored a notable 88 runs thanks mainly to Ashley Lynch who topped scored with 23 while the bowling honors went to Mollie Devine with figures of (4-18-4)
In response the Foxies got off to a confident start with a fantastic display of batting from Sarah Black (31) and Mollie Devine (18) helped Emma Allen’s side chase down the target for the loss of 4 wickets.
Elsewhere, Bonds Glen played host to local rivals Donemana that was sure to be a close competition between the two.
Batting first, the BeeGees got off to an ideal start with a 48 run partnership between Kylie McGarrigle (32*) and Cherith Thompson (13) allowed the hosts to achieve a final total worth 70 runs.
Chasing 70 runs, Zoe Scott (18*) top scored as the visitors chased down the final total within 14 overs allowing the Donemana ladies achieve their second victory of the season.
Next week sees the first round of the ladies Cup. Bready play host to Donemana, Newbuildings set off to Bonds Glen, Killyclooney take on current cup holders Strabane Saints while Eglinton face Fox Lodge.
