Afghanistan are set for their first full series against a full member other than Zimbabwe as they will tour the West Indies in June 2017 for 8 matches.
The tour will feature five ODIs and three T20Is and will be played in June. Exact dates are yet to be announced.
The two sides have met once before in an official match, with Afghanistan beating the eventual winners by six runs at the World Twenty20 earlier this year.
Coming on the back of yesterday's announcement of a substantial series with Ireland, it is another boost to Afghan cricket, though whether they will get enough matches to have a reasonable chance of qualifying for the 2019 World Cup through the ODI rankings remains to be seen.
