Denmark are still unbeaten after beating Guernsey in the European Under-19 Division Two Championship, and have secured promotion to Division One.

Guernsey won the toss and chose to bat first, but found runs hard to come by. The Danish bowlers were very economical, Azaan-Ur-Rehman particularly so, going for just two runs in his seven overs. Magnus Kristensen was the pick of the bunch with 4-6 as Guernsey were bowled out for 84.

Denmark lost Azaan-Ur-Rehman early on in their reply, and soon found themselves on 12-3. A 57 run partnership between Saud Munir and Oliver Hald helped them get back on track. Munir finished unbeaten on 47 as Denmark won by 6 wickets to secure promotion.

At VOC in Rotterdam, hosts the Netherlands batted first after being put in to bat by Italian captain Riccardo Meade. Boris Golee top scored for the Dutch with 68, whilst Alyan Razzagi also chipped in with 57. Junaid Farooq took five wickets for Italy, but went for 46 runs in the process.

The final total for the hosts was 250-8, and that proved to be insurmountable for Italy, who were bowled out for just 107, Philippe Boissevain taking 4-22.

The tournament concludes today with Denmark playing Italy and Guernsey play the Netherlands.
