The final of this years North Sea Pro-Series will sea the Southern Seafarers take on the Eastern Knights at Stirling on September 1st.
The Knights have already secured the Scottish Championship with one game to play, having gone undefeated thus far through the Scottish three-team CS Pro-50 Cup. The Seafarers meanwhile came saw off Dutch rivals the Nothern Hurricanes, clean-sweeping a three match series earlier in the season.
The one-off final, preceded by a warm-up for the Seafarers against the Western Warriors the day before, is this year the sole cross-national component of the North Sea Pro-Series, an ongoing colaboration between Cricket Scotland and the KNCB that is now in its fourth year.
Cricket Scotland Performance Director Andy Tennant said “We are delighted to welcome the Seafarers to Scotland for this year’s final and look forward to continuing the healthy rivalry. Continuing to develop the North Sea Pro Series is important for us and undoubtedly helps both nations to develop strong regional performance structures. We look forward to what I am sure will be an exciting and high quality final, with a good number of experienced internationalists and talented young players on both sides.”
The 50-over match is scheduled to start at 11am local time, at New Williamfield, Stirling. Admission gratis.
