Ireland's bowlers will be having a sigh of relief after the news that AB De Villiers will miss the ODI at Benoni on Sunday.

The former Carrickfergus star has an injured elbow that saw him miss the recent series against New Zealand.

Hashim Amla is also missing being rested by the Proteas, while the side will be skippered by Faf du Plessis.

Morne Morkel is also missing for the one-off ODI, although Ireland of course have their own injury woes for the game.

Boyd Rankin misses the game as he continues his recovery from a broken leg while Ed Joyce is also out due to needing minor knee surgery.

Ireland are also taking on Australia on Tuesday at the same venue. Both games start at 9am and will be scored live on CricketEurope.
