Knights complete comprehensive 8 wicket victory against Warriors
The Northern Knights duly wrapped up a comprehensive 8 wicket win over the North West Warriors this morning on the third day of their Newstalk Inter-Provincial Championship match at Stormont.
Resuming on their overnight score of 85 for 2, chasing a modest target of 154, the Knights took just 63 minutes to knock off the required 69 runs in just 15.3 overs with the minimum of fuss.
Former Zimbabwean Test player Craig Ervine finished unbeaten on 72 from 124 balls (6 fours, 4 sixes), sharing an unbroken third wicket partnership of 87 with Kinights skipper Andrew White, who made an undefeated 31.
The next action in the Newstalk Inter-Provincial Series is a three-day game between defending champions Leinster Lightning and the Northern Knights, both of whom have made winning starts to the 2014 campaign.
That game takes place at College Park from June 17-19 (11am).
