Tipperary are the remaining Division 2 side left in the competition and will look to cause an upset to reach the Final for the first time in their history. Since the side was established this year, they have looked a very balanced side with exciting bowlers such as the Cawley Bro's and Ginson. This bowling attack coupled with powerful hitting batsmen of Farooq, Joseph and Sreenivas will give the Clare attack much to think about.
Co.Clare though, are in great form at the moment having defeated Cork Harlequins and Cork County in Division 1. They have unearthed a gem of a player in Sughpal Sigh whose 158 against Harlequins was a commanding innings. He, coupled with Farrukh, Bilal and Farman could, if they get going, take a game away from any team. These players are also the core bowling attack for the side. This could and should be an exciting tight game given that its on Home turf for the Tipperary side. Umpire - David Griffin
In the second semi final, Limerick Raiders take on Co Galway in Lycidan. Galway will have a full side for this game as they take on an in form Limerick Raiders. Raiders have noticeably being working on their fielding during the year and this has paid dividends for them . They reached the quarter final of the national cup but despite being beaten they saw the return to form of their stalworth S Alam. His all round performances will be needed and tested should Raiders prevail against an excellent Galway side. Alam , Usmann and Azeem will be their main batting attack but the question remains. Will Raiders be able to bat their 50 overs? Should they do so then they must have a chance against the bowling attack of Galway. Tabish, Que Khan , Jaffer and Danish Ali are quality bowlers who attack the stumps giving batsmen little chance of scoring. They will test the Raiders team. Galway also have great batsmen in Mullen and Ali. Mullen's 106* against Kerry was a fantastic knock and will be hard to get out. Limerick will need to bowl tight should they wish to prevail in this match. Umpire - Ger O'Sullivan
