Rain spoiled the fourth round of matches at Division Three of the World Cricket League, with only the short Uganda v Malaysia game. The other two did see some play, but will be restarted tomorrow.

Uganda, just needing a win to secure promotion to Division 2, batted first after winning the toss against the hosts. Things didn't exactly go to plan for them though as they were bundled out for just 106 in 39 overs. Derek Duraisingam was the pick of the bowlers with 3-23.

Chasing such a low target shouldn't have been a problem for Malaysia, but they did contrive to lose six wickets in the process of doing so. They completed the run chase well before the rain came, knocking off the runs in 21 overs to win by four wickets. Davis Arinaitwe bowled well for Uganda, taking 5-32, but it wasn't enough to prevent defeat.

Singapore batted first after winning the toss in their game against Bermuda. Arjun Mutreja and Anish Paraam batted superbly, putting on 209 for the third wicket. Mutreja reached a century, scoring 108, but Praam fell just short when he got out for 95. Singapore scored 266-8 from their 50 overs, but there was no resumption after the interval, and the game will be replayed tomorrow.

The USA got off to a great start in their match against Nepal, with Steve Massiah scoring 74 before he was the third man out in the 29th over. He shared in a 112 run partnership for the second wicket with Fahad Babar, who scored 47. Babar's dismissal sparked a collapse in the USA batting order as they went from 136-1 to 204 all out.

Rain in the interval reduced the Nepal innings to 30 overs, with their target being 162. Three quick wickets had them on 27-3 when rain brought what for them was probably a welcome end to the game after 7 overs of their run chase. The game will be replayed tomorrow.

The quick result of their game means that Malaysia and Uganda both have an extra day off tomorrow, and they will be back in action on Wednesday when they will play Nepal and Bermuda respectively. The other two games will be replayed tomorrow, but with rain and thunderstorms forecast for the rest of the tournament, there may not be much play.
