The ICC European Women's T20 Qualifier gets under way in Bready next week with hosts Ireland, Scotland and The Netherlands battling it out to claim the title.

Ireland recovered from losing four wickets in the first three overs to beat Scotland by 2 wickets with three balls to spare.

Ireland had reached 28 for 2 after four overs when a thunderstorm flooded the Bready ground.

The aftermath of Tuesday's storms, followed by high winds and further rain, put paid to any chances of play on the second day of the tournament.

Ireland defeated The Netherlands by 8 wickets in a rain-shortened match to give themselves an unassailable lead at the top of the tournament table.

Despite a fighting innings from Leigh Kasparek, The Netherlands held on to record a seven run victory over Scotland and take second place in the tournament.
