Beating Italy to remain undefeated, the hosts were the outstanding side of the new-style tournament, with Ireland A finishing as runners-up.

The tournament hosts took a big step towards their first European championship on Saturday, but Ireland A's big win over Netherlands A kept them in the hunt.

Italy caused the shock of the day by beating previously-undefeated Scotland A on Friday, leaving Jersey alone at the top of the Division 1 table.

Hosts Jersey dismissed Ireland A for 128 on their way to a seven-wicket victory on Wednesday, while Scotland A claimed their second win and Netherlands A their first.

Ireland's A side had an opening-day victory over Italy, and there were also wins for Scotland A and hosts Jersey as the Division 1 tournament began.

There is a new look to the championship with Ireland, Netherlands and Scotland all entering their A teams alongside Denmark, Jersey and Italy.
