Before this weekend Svanholm was undefeated and had won 2 matches by a large margin by batting first, but then they met Skanderborg, promoted from the 1.st division, who ended up giving Svanholm a taste of their own medicine. Skanderborg made a good score thanks from some heavy hitting at the end by Lars Hedegaard with 7 sixes in 17 balls. Svanholm could handle the Skanderborg bowling but could not penetrate the defensive field set. Svanholm lacked a hard hitter like Lars Hedegaard and lost by 53 runs.

Skanderborg are still unbeaten after three matches, although they had to use all the resources and a good innings from Soren Kirk to beat Esbjerg by one wicket in their first match. Today Skanderborg had also to fight hard against Norrebro, the Pakistani based side in Copenhagen. Norrebro posted 186 in their 50 overs with old hand Aftab Ahmed contribuing 30 but Rizwan Mahmood with 44 and Morten Hedegaard with 34 got Skanderborg home by 3 wickets.

Glostrup are also unbeaten after two matches. Glostrup lost the championship final last year yet again and are thirsty in winning the trophy. This weekend they beat Herning by 5 wickets after bowling Herning out for 102. Herning took revenge today by beating AB by three wickets.

So it looks like a race between, Glostrup, Skanderborg and Svanholm for the championship with Herning puffing behind. Norrebro, AB and Husum have yet to win so they look like fighting for survival.

In the first division KB have already started their campaign to return to the Elitedivision as they have won all their matches. They are followed by Albertslund while the other favourite Ishoj already have problems. But the surprise so far is promoted Kolding who have won two out of three matches and are certain to stay in division. Fellow promoted Aalborg , however, are finding life difficult after heavy defeats but today they only lost by 41 runs so there's hope.
