The Guernsey Cricket Board has confirmed that Guernsey will play Kenya, World Cup semi-finalists in 2003, in a 50-over friendly at the Sussex CCC county ground at Hove on Thursday 24th July.

Guernsey were already scheduled to play Sussex Academy at Hove on 25th July and a Sussex Premier League XI at Sterlands Ground, Chichester on 27th July in preparation for the ICC European Second Division Championships being played in Guernsey in August, but the fixture against Kenya has recently been added following the visit to Guernsey recently by Samir Inamdar, Chairman of Cricket Kenya, as part of the ICC's inspection visit team.

Kenya will be in the UK at that time preparing for the 2009 Twenty20 World Cup qualifier which is being contested in Ireland the following week.
