France

In case you missed it in our Dutch section here, France will be visiting the Netherlands next month for two matches against the Dutch A side. The matches will be played at the VRA Ground in Amstelveen on the 12th and 14th of July and will serve as good preparation for the European Division Two tournament in August.

Germany

Germany has been confirmed as the host for the European Under-17 Division Two Championship in August after an ICC Europe inspection team said that they were satisfied with the facilities on offer. The tournament, the first to be held in Germany in seven years, will take place from the 9th to the 15th of August and will feature ten teams.

Guernsey

Guernsey's £1 million pound indoor cricket centre has begun to take shape with the steel frame for the building now in place. It is hoped that the centre will open by January, with financial backer Jon Ravenscroft telling the Guernsey Press and Star, "I’m very confident it’s going to be a success."

Hong Kong

The Pakistan Cricket Board have rejected Hong Kong's request for more warm-up matches ahead of the Asia Cup later this month. The PCB have told them that they must arrive on the 21st of June with the other teams. Early reports suggested that security problems were behind the refusal, put a PCB official denied this, citing logistical reasons.

Isle of Man

The MCC will be sending a team to the Isle of Man this week, celebrating the 80th anniversary of the first visit to the island by the famous club. The match against the national side will take place on Friday.

Uganda

Ugandan international Kenneth Kamyuka will be heading to Canada to play as an overseas professional for Brampton CC, the reigning Toronto and District Cricket Association champions. The deal was brokered by Canada's Ugandan born international Henry Osinde. Kamyuka will have fond memories of Canada, as this was where he burst onto the scene during the 2001 ICC Trophy, where he scored 146 runs at 48.66 and took seven wickets at 19.85.
