The MCC's latest overseas jaunt to a non-test playing country, after visits to Argentina and Uganda earlier in the year, was in Germany this week, and the German teams were mostly successful.

The tour started on Monday with a Twenty20 match against a Berlin XI, the home team winning after chasing down 104 with five overs to spare. The MCC's only win came in a one-day match against the Germany Under-19 team on Tuesday.

Wednesday saw a return to the Twenty20 format with a 22 run win for Germany A over the tourists thanks to 80 from D. Rajudeen. Thursday's match against the full Germany side also ended in defeat for the tourists, Abdul Bhatti scoring 72 in Germany's total of 200/9. Three German bowlers took three wickets each as the MCC were bowled out for 138, Germany winning by 62 runs.
