As with their previous three-day match, rain again played a part in Namibia's match against Free State in Windhoek.

Namibia won the toss on the first morning and elected to bat first. Raymond van Schoor held up the upper order with a first-class best of 57, but Namibia were struggling once he was out on 130/5. But two partnerships down the order steadied the ship.

First, Nicolaas Scholtz and Craig Williams put on 84 for the seventh wicket before Scholtz was out for 50. Williams then put on 50 for the eighth wicket with Bjorn Kotze before being dismissed for 75, scored from 65 balls. Namibia reached 298/9 before they were required to declare after the 85th over.

Free State had time to face two deliveries before the close of play on day one, but only 29.4 overs were possible on the second day, with Free State reaching 54/5 by the close.

They continued on the third morning, being bowled out for 181 as Bjorn Kotze took 5/41, his maiden five wicket haul in first-class cricket. Roman Terblanche was their top scorer with an unbeaten 64.

The rain on the second day had already meant that the match was going to end in a draw, and Namibia casually made 157/5 in their second innings before the game ended. There was time for Raymond van Schoor to again pass his first-class best, this time making 60. The teams play each other in a one-day game today.
