And it was their much talked about under-19 players who lead the way.
Abubakarr Kamara (81*), Bami Williams (3-1), Edward Marah (2-8) and Ibrahim Kabia (2-18) were all part of the U/19 squad that was set to take part in the ICC qualifiers in Canada.
Rwanda's young side played bravely against Malawi, restricting the hosts to 172 in 44.3 overs but in reply could only muster 126 in 41.1.
