Singapore have announced a strong side for the World Cricket League Division 5 Tournament to be held in Kathmandu in mid February.

Coached by ex-Sri Lankan opener Marvan Atapattu, Singapore will be lead by belligerent left-hander, Munish Arora, who has been the stalwart of the island nation’s batting over the last five or six years. Others who will form the heart of the batting line up will be vice-captain, Buddhika Mendis, wicketkeeper Chetan Suryawanshi, and Narendar Reddy Bonguram.

The team is packed with all-rounders such as talented youngster Anish Param, former India U-19 off-spinner Dharmichand Mulewa, new Pakistani recruit, Saad janjua, and Pramodh Raja. The squad also sees the return of accurate left-arm orthodox spinner Jackie Manoj Kumar, whom one expects to play a formidable role with the ball. Overall, it looks a balanced team with a solid-top order, a fiery fast bowling attack, and a wealth of spin bowling options. Expect Singapore to challenge for the title.
