In the day’s other match at Grainville which was also rain affected and was reduced to 44 overs, Scotland scored a solid 208 for nine.
The innings star was Haris Aslam who scored 41 runs not out from 40 balls including four fours. For the bowling line up, the day belonged to Elliot Miles who took six wickets for 42 runs in nine overs, some fantastic bowling from the Jersey player kept the Scottish total down to a more reachable target.
Ben Wilkinson 38 runs from 39 balls (four fours, one six) and opener Syed Shah (four fours) also contributed with the bat to guide Scotland to 208 for nine.
The Jersey reply stuttered after an early wicket, but James Duckett was the star batter for Jersey with an exciting 42 runs from 53 balls including six fours.
Supported by Paul Hickling (22) and captain Solomon Warner (20) tried to get Jersey closer to the winning target, however with the run rate increasing and wickets falling, it looked like it was going to be a step too far.
Mitchell Rao was the pick of the bowlers for Scotland taking four wickets for 36 runs in eight overs, as Jersey finished on 161 all out in 39.5 overs.
