Only two matches were possible today as the match between Herning and Nørrebro was postponed due to a family bereavement amongst the Pakistani players. The big match was in the first division between Kolding and Albertslund as Kolding are still undefeated and Albertslund who have for years been close to promotion. Kolding batted first and were helped along the way by some wayward Albertslund bowling as they gave away 47 extras with 34 wides.
When they did get the ball on target it was tough going for the Kolding batsmen with Martin Pedersen best with 42 as Kolding were bowled out for 164. Even though Albertslund lost a wicket immediately Kiyani went on the offensive and slogged the ball left and right and when he was out for 48 Albertslund were 78 for 4 off just 13 overs. The rest of the team followed suit in trying to hit their way out and Kolding suddenly got the upper hand taking quick wickets. Kolding's palyercoach A. Amos came on with his off-spinners and took 3 wickets for no runs as Alberslund crashed to 87 all out.
The other match was Esbjerg's first game this weekend in Copenhagen at Glostrup in the Elitedivision. This game went to plan as Esbjerg were all out for 118. Two players made 73 runs while the rest hardly made any at all. Most of the damage was done by Denmark's opening bowler Henrik Hansen who took 4 for 16. Glostrup lost only two wickets in catching Esbjerg's score with Peter Poulsen in charge with 62. Glostrup are now top with 2 victories out of two but due to the differences in the number of matches played it is yet early to say who is favorite for the championship
The forecast for Sunday however is bleak with rain predicted for most of the country.
