According to Glostrup's captain David Borchersen nobody has scored a century against the club for over 10 years but Saturday changed that. Norrebro visited Glostrup and past meetings have always ended with Glostrup being always on top but on Saturday that changed. Norrebro ended up dominating the game thanks to exactly 100 in 107 balls from Norrebro's Saad Hafeez. Glostrup were still licking their wounds from the surprising defeat to KB last weekend and now they ran into another heavy defeat as Norrebro made 233 for 7 in 50 overs and afterwards demolished Glostrup for 108 as Saad Hafeez took 3 wickets. Norrebro, who are in relegation danger, pulled themselves together batting wise and played much more sensibly instead of their usual hit and run ways.

Saturday saw the big clash between co-leaders Svanholm and defending champions Herning at Herning. In glorious sunshine and a pitch which already has become rather dead, we were witness to a good old fashioned tussle. Svanholm batted first and didn't find Herning's bowling all that dangerous but line and length plus good fielding placements meant Svanholm couldn't force the pace. Herning had 3 spinners in use including the old warhorse Lejf Slepsager, who has been absent due to back problems. He could after a 2 year break still bowl effectively and restrict Svanholm who were forced to take chances in the last 10 overs that also cost wickets. Svanholm were bowled out for 160 in the last over as Michael Pedersen finished with 4 for 24. Svanholm's Rohit Kanayia top-scored with 48. It wasn't plain sailing for Herning either with the bat losing Mogens Christiansen in the first over. However Carsten Pedersen and Troels Thogersen rebuilt until the introduction of spin caused a quick breakthrough. Herning started to lose wickets as Svanholm held their catches. Lejf Slepsager got Herning within striking distance but there was excitement as Lejf and Hamad Zaman were caught on the boundary. Jacob Larsen, however, made sure of a 3 wicket victory.

With Glostrup and Svanholm losing Herning had caught up with them and could take the lead on the Sunday as they faced Norrebro at home. Herning put Norrebro into bat but Norrebro were unable to keep up the work they showed the day before against Glostrup. Instead they played aggressively and this cost them wickets. Only Rashid Ali adn R Islam played with any substance pushing the ball around. Herning's spinners made inroads and removed both batsmen. Norrebro were bowled out for 148. Herning's opening batsmen had a good day and put on 91 for the first wicket and after that there was no doubt about the result as Herning romped home winning by seven wickets Troels Thogersen was the star of the show with 69.

Svanholm were on the Sunday in Esbjerg and things didn't look good for the Copenhagen side as they were at one point 110 for seven but Hamid Shah found a couple of partners who stuck around and he piled on the runs taking 20 off the last over as Svanholm ended on 200 for 9 with Hamid 98 not out. Sair Anjum then went about removing the top three Esbjerg batsman and as Esbjerg's captain was trapped lbw for 25 by Bret Mulder Esbjerg collapsed and were all out for 104.

Herning's victory put them on top of league with Svanholm and Glostrup 2 points behind. Sunday saw heavy rain in Copenhagen so no other matches were able to finish. While the championship is a three horse race four teams are now battling to avoid relegation, all on 6 points. In the first division there was a big clash on the Saturday as leaders Ishoj hosted second place Kolding. Ishoj showed though why they are top of the division as they scored 200 and then had Kolding in dire straights at 19 for 5. Kolding recovered slightly but defeat was always on the cards and Kolding were all out for 125. Ishoj now look certain for promotion as they have a two match lead.
