Saturday saw only one match in the Elitedivision at Esbjerg which was lucky as the Copenhagen area was drenched in torrential rain. Glostrup were on a two match trip starting against Esbjerg who are fighting for survival. This turned out to be a spectators match with all sorts of things happening. The first wicket fell already on the second delivery as Glostrup's Ahmed lost his middle stump to Kasper Rubrin. At the other end Klitgaard soon had Aftab Ahmed and Henrik Hansen trapped lbw and Glostrup were in trouble at 7 for 3. After two defeats in a row things weren't looking too good. But Peter Poulsen and Soren Jensen pulled the side out of trouble adding 48 before Esbjerg's captain Peer Jensen broke through finding a hole in Soren Jensen's defence, followed by Peter Poulsen being caught at the wicket and finally trapping David Borchersen lbw first ball. With six wickets down for just 56 runs Michael Jeppesen and Martin Jensen yet again pulled the side out of the fire adding 67 for the seventh wicket before Kasper Rubrin bowled Martin Jensen. Glostrup's tail didn't wag that much and Esbjerg were happy in bowling Glostrup out for 140.

Esbjerg didn't start any better than Glostrup as Claus Hansen was clean bowled third ball followed by Mirza being caught and Kasper Rubrin trapped lbw. Esbjerg were now 12 for 3 but no one really took the side out of the fire as more wickets fell. With five down for 40 Esbjerg looked set for another defeat. Ivan Kristensen however put fire to the sword and hit spinner Arshad for 3 sixes in one over before being caught. This gave the momentum for Esbjerg and Henrik Ore dug in and together with David Klitgaard resisted the pressure asserted by Glostrup as the front line bowlers used up their overs. With the pressure relaxed Esbjerg were able to score the final runs and winning by seven wickets. Glostrup's defeat was their third in a row to lower placed clubs. Some will say it was a hatrick of miracles but regardless Glostrup would have to win on the Sunday over Husum to remain in the Championship race.

Saturday saw two further matches in the 1. division Second place Kolding were visited by Aalborg from North Jutland and despite heavy morning rain the match did start on time. Aalborg batted first and thanks to Theo Cupido's 70 and Kim Larsens's 50 ended on 209 all out. This total was not enough though as Kolding's Australian player/coach Andrew Amos hit 104 supported by Minik Pedersen's 36 as Koling won by 6 wickets. The other match was a rain affected affair played at Koge south of Copenhagen. The match was restricted to a 25 over affair where Koge batted first and posted 127 for 5 with player/coach Scott O'Brien leading the way with 57. Skanderborg had no problems in passing the score with overs to spare with Soren Kirk 38 no. Koge's fielding was something to forget according to reports.
