Kim Garth scored an unbeaten 61 and took three wickets as Pembroke beat YMCA comfortably to win the Leinster Women's Senior Cup final.

YMCA could only manage 119 all out with only Gaby Lewis showing her true form with the bat. The teenager hit five boundaries in her 52 from just 45 deliveries, sharing a fourth wicket stand of 45 with Claudia Johnston (15).

Garth (3-15) was the most successful of the Pembroke attack, with Louise McCarthy also bowling well, taking 2 for 19.

Pembroke skipper Ciara Metcalfe juggled her bowlers superbly, never allowing the YM batters to settle.

Chasing 120 for victory, Pembroke lost Irish internationals Shauna Kavanagh (0) and Louise McCarthy (2) with just 3 on the board, but their nerves were soon settled as Garth and overseas player Meg Kendal soon set about the modest target.

Garth struck five fours and a six in her unbeaten 61 from just 54 balls, while Kendal rotated the strike brilliantly as she scored 35 not out from 37 balls (5 fours).

The pair's partnership was worth an unbroken 118 as the win was achieved with 4.2 overs to spare.
