THE HILLS will meet Clontarf in yet another all-Leinster final in the RSA Irish Senior Cup on Saturday after two thrilling semi-finals which went to the last over.

Indeed the Skerries side’s three runs victory over North Down went to the last bal,l but Naseer Shoukat held his nerve and Ireland A bowler James Cameron-Dow could only scramble a single.

Shoukat’s opening partner Max Sorensen had an off day with the ball but his batting was the significant part in The Hills’ 224, the Ireland all-rounder hitting 70 off just 57 balls with six sixes and three fours.

Big Coghlan was Clontarf’s batting star as the holders chased down Pembroke’s 255 for eight. The opening batsman who missed out on Leinster Lightning’s double success last week, scored 134 with 14 fours and 5 sixes and although he was out with 23 required from 13 balls, Joe Morrissey picked up the mantle and saw the holders home with two balls to spare.

Merrion kept the Division One title race alive with a commanding 53 runs wins over leaders YMCA, cutting the gap at the top nine points with a game in hand; John Anderson finished 111 not out in Merrion's 253 for seven. But Terenure’s fight for survival ended with a seven wickets defeat by Railway Union.
