After a lot of huff and puff from various circles an offer has been made to have two ODI's in November.

Ragheb Aga's been selected again for Sussex' s home match against Kent. Hopefully he bowls higher up than 5th change, Apparently he gets lots of swing.

At the moment things seem quiet, but I think a number of fringe players to the National team should be on their toes between now and end of August. In the second half of this year, suddenly there would be a bust in activity with the number of fixtures lined up, and as a result there could be a few senior players getting burnt out or picking up injuries. The performance of the fringe players would be important if we were to get consistent results and move up the ODI rankings. Secondly, in such situations we could then say to ourselves we still won the matches with some of our senior players out injured.

I do want to wish the under 15 team that will be heading for the CLICO World Cup in West Indies this month good luck in the Caribbean.
The team has trained with a lot of hardships because of the current weather in Nairobi and because of the training sessions being on when the schools are on.
I am confident that the boys will learn a lot in the tournament even if they don’t perform well as expected.
What Cricket Kenya should now do is to take full advantage of the players who have been turning up for practice and organize matches or even a league for them so that they can play together for long and ion the end come up with strong junior teams. Good luck to the team and their coach David Asiji who has worked tirelessly to see that it materializes.
Another person to be congratulated for his hard work to seer that this is working out is Tom Tikolo. I think this man has made cricket be like his life or his life is cricket. Keep it up Tom and God will reward you.
