The Dutch selectors have added the VRA Amsterdam pair Wesley Barresi and Adeel Raja to their squad for next week’s World Cricket League Division 1 tournament, replacing Ryan ten Doeschate and Nick Statham.

Statham has failed to recover in time from the wrist injury which forced him to miss the Clydesdale Bank 40 matches against Derbyshire and Northamptonshire, while Ten Doeschate suffered a torn calf muscle while batting for Essex in a Twenty20 match on 16 June.

Both Barresi and Raja played in the recent Intercontinental Cup match against Scotland, and Raja was also included in the ODI side, where he replaced Muhammad Kashif. He has played 11 ODIs, taking 12 wickets at 31.83, four for 42 against Namibia his best return. Barresi has yet to play in an ODI.
