Hong Kong

Hong Kong have named their squad for this month's ACC Trophy Elite tournament. There are some changes from the Asia Cup squad, with Afzaal Haider, Courtney Kruger and Roy Lamsam being replaced by Ashish Gadhia, Ilyas Gul, Shakeel Haq, Zafran Ali and Niaz Ali.

Iberia Cup

The Iberia Cup resumed recently after an almost decade long absence. The tournament, usually played between Spain, Gibraltar and Portugal was this year a two match series between Spain and Gibraltar after Portugal were unable to send a team.

Spain won the first match by 24 runs and the second by 12 runs. Gibraltar will be disappointed with their form heading into next month's European Division Two tournament. It is hoped that Portugal will play next year, and that the event will become part of ICC Europe's regular tournament program.

Malaysia

The Malaysian Cricket Association recently signed a memorandum of understanding with the Western Australian Cricket Association to formalise the current friendly relationship between the two bodies. One result could be that Western Australia will tour Malaysia in August, playing three Twenty20 matches against the national side.

Nepal

Nepal have named their squad for the ACC Trophy Elite tournament, as follows: Binod Das (captain), Paras Khadka, Shakti Gauchan, Mahaboob Alam, Basanta Regmi, Sanjam Regmi, Amrit Bhattarai, Deependra Chaudhary, Raj Kumar Pradhan, Paresh Lohani, Kanishka Chaugain, Gyanendra Malla, Sharad Vesawkar, Mahesh Chhetri.

Meanwhile, two Nepal players won awards at the inaugural Asian Cricket Council awards recently. Nepal's Under-19 captain Paras Khadka was named the best emerging men's cricketer, whilst women's national team captain Nary Thapa won the equivalent award for women. They were the only awards won by associate nations.

Singapore

Singapore have also announced their squad for the ACC Trophy Elite tournament, as follows: Chaminda Ruwan (captain), Glenn Meyer, Syed Ali, Narender Reddy, Chetan Suryawanshi, Sagar Kulkarni, Vivek Vedagiri, Mohamed Shoib, Mohamed Rizwan, Christopher Janik, Buddhika Mendis, Dharmichand Mulewa, Munish Arora, Pramodh Raja.

Uganda

Tornado won the Mawanda Cup after beating their second XI by 96 runs in the final. Benjamin Musoke top scored for the Tornado first team in the match with 69 in their total of 275/6.
